NOTE: apparently I can’t use a keyboard and uploaded this for the “10th” rather than the “19th”. So it was uploaded, but just in the PAST.

This was not the last time Lincoln would have an awkward encounter with himself. He discoverd a roll of Lincoln pennies in the White House basement in winter 1861, and in 1864 received a postcard with Mt. Rushmore and the words “WISH YOU WERE HERE” on the back. He only mentioned these experiences once in a letter to his Secretary of State, William Seward, describing the occurrences as “freaky-deaky”.
aaand an interview I did with the cartoonist Justin Hall, also on the Rumpus.
you left out the part where Lincoln went on a killing rampage, massacring most of Springfield, Illinois, reminding them that his birthplace and therefore veritable “Land of Lincoln” is actually in Kentucky. Sadly, the license plate of Illinois still reads “Land of Lincoln.” Its not like we ever wanted him in Kentucky anyway. I heard Mary Todd was a man.
