This week’s featured artist is Dano Wall, who I’ve known and loved for many years. If you’ve never met him, I’ll tell you a story to give a better sense of him. We lived together a couple summers ago;  during that time, he began soaking a late-1980s IBM typewriter in a bucket of water. I asked him why he was doing this. He replied, “So I can distill it and taste the 80’s.”
I asked Dano to make some cartoons. Instead, he made a couple sweet collages. I don’t argue with Dano. I am just grateful he let me put these up on the site. Take a look at more of his stuff right here. Seriously, just stare and look on in wonder at the man’s Buckminster Fuller-like mind. There will be more of his stuff on Thursday.

Did the distillation work? Many typewriters distill better into alcohol or glycerin.
